Versatile Malayalam movie actor Nedumudi Venu passed away this morning. He was hospitalised at a private hospital following a recovery from Covid-19.

Venu was 73, and he was hurried to hospital on Sunday after developing uneasiness.

Venu has acted in more than 500 movies in four decades and has worked with many Indian legendry actors. His debut performance in Mollywood was in 1977 for the film “Thambu”. The exceptional actor is a recipient of three National Film Awards and six Kerala state awards. His fans and costars always loved his passion for playing Mridangam and singing folk songs. Venu was survived by two children and a wife, TR Susheela.
