From today schools in Kerala began to function full day. About 47 lakhs students resume schools to their regular academic mode after two years of shutdown in the wake of a covid-19 pandemic.
Classes 1 to 12 will have their courses until evening and will function every Saturday until March.
Only pre-primary sections will have shift based with 50 per cent student count as half days.
Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty stated that students don’t need to attend in-person classes. Online classes will be available to those who are unable to join. However, the priority is to complete the courses timely and conduct exams.
