Legendary vocalist SP Balasubtahmanyam bestowed the honour posthumously and has been awarded Padma Vibhushan. Other recipients include Singer KS Chitra, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri include for vocalist Bombay Jayashru and Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri.
