Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao decided to separate their 15-year long marriage life. Amir’s first wedding was with Reena Dutta in 1986. After 15 years of wedding life, they got divorced in 2002. Aamir and Reena have two children Junaid and Ira.
Aamir and Kiran Rao got married on December 28, 2005, and had hosted a private function for friends and family at Aamir’s farmhouse Panchgani. In 2011 they had their first child through IVF and named him Azad Rao Khan.
In a joint statement, they announced that our relationship had only grown in trust, respect and love.
This separation is a beginning of a new chapter in our lives. No longer as a husband and wife but as co-parents and family for each other. They Will also continue to collaborate in movies and continue passionately with works they feel with Paani Foundation and other projects.
