Arya Rajendran 21-year-old college from All Saints College is the next mayor of Thiruvananthapuram corporation. She will be the youngest mayor in India.
The CPM district secretariat nominated her on Friday. The party will soon issue an official statement regarding the posting.
Arya BSc mathematics student was elected the councilor of Mudavanmugal ward in the recent local body election.
