Anil entered for a bath in the Malankara reservoir, unfortunately, was caught in the strong undercurrents, around 5 pm he was drowned. He was rescued within eight minutes of the incident by local people and friends and moved to the hospital at Thodupuzha. The hospital declared Anil was brought dead.
Anil made his debut in Thaskaraveeran, his noted play was for Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Kammatipaadam, Paavada and Porinju Mariam Jose to name a few.
