A four-month-old baby boy was hospitalised with steroid toxicity. It is diagnosed that the use of Star Cream to treat diaper rash. The child was later diagonsed with Cushing’s syndrome.
In the star cream’s several samples. A potent steroid, ketoconazole, clobetasol, an antifungals were detected.
The authority stated that HSA tested the steroid clobetasol detected in the Star Cream samples. This is generally prescribed for inflammatory conditions and is recommended under strict medical supervision.
