Teenage NEET aspirant dies after suicide

A 19-year-old Coimbatore girl dies after suicide on Tuesday allegedly out of fear of writing NEET exam. She endured with this after the supreme court refused to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and the Joint Entrance Examination scheduled in September.

The police report the deceased is the daughter of an ITI staff from RS Puram, she was preparing for the medical entrance test from more than 24 for months.

In 2019 she could not get the minimum cut off mark to qualify for the medical admission. This year aiming to crack the exam she was preparing hard to get herself enrolled in a private coaching centre in the same city.

The police have registered a case under section 174 and they are investigating the case of suicide of IPC.
