Rajghat Bridge submerges due to heavy rains in Barwani

Relentless rain has battered Barwani district, Madhya Pradesh submerging the Rajghat Bridge.
The major river includes of Narmada flows above the danger mark. Due to the submergence of the Rajghat Bridge, commuters are facing the issue and are taking the travels every day with high-risk by crossing this bridge to reach their respective destination.

A number of people afflicted by the Sardar Sarovar dam project on River Narmada are having indefinite agitation under the pennant of Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA). The agitated people are looking for complete rehabilitation before submergence as Gujarat government is likely to fill up the reservoir on Sardar Sarovar dam up to the highest limit of 138.68 metres, which will mean submergence in a huge share of the affected locale.
