Microsoft brings custom backgrounds to video calls and other features

The coronavirus epidemic has brought whole new experiences to video conferencing as more people began working from home. Some employees started to slowly resume their work at the office as the lockdown was lifted partly. However, for most of them, work-from-home continues.

Microsoft Teams have brought an array of features on Google Duo, Meet, Zoom and other video conferencing apps.

One of the highlighting updates is to have custom background during a video call. Previous year it was to blur the background and now the users will get to choose custom pictures as background during their video call.

Microsoft Teams customers in the USA will have Live Caption option. The feature aims to enable inclusive conversations. In another, it supports the needs of participants with different hearing abilities or language proficiencies.
