Kochi Metro extended service to Thaikkudam from Maharaja’s College. This morning Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the extensive. The extension of metro service will support public from the traffic blocK.
The new Kochi metro service will cover five-station around 5.65 kilometres. The CM also inaugurated the development of the extension to SN junction from Petta. Currently, metro covers 21 stations in the city. In metro now a passenger can now travel from Aluva to Thaikkudam within 45 minutes. For the first two weeks, passengers can avail 50% discount on the ticket rate from Aluba to Thaikkudam. The fixed ticket price is at Rs 60.
KMRL next plan is to extend the service to Kakkanad and Angamaly.
