Karimeen-fry

Karimeen-fryINGREDIENTS:

Green chromide (Karimeen) – 3 nos

Chilly powder – 1 ½ teaspoon

Black pepper powder – 2 teaspoon

Oil – for frying

Curry leaves – 5 sprigs

Salt – to taste

Lemon juice – 2 teaspoon

Ginger – small piece

Garlic – 5 cloves

Shallots – 10 nos

Green chillies – 3 nos

Fennel powder – ¼ teaspoon

Corn flour – 2 teaspoon

PREPARATION:

Clean the green chromide fish, then make slits on it.

Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, corn flour, fennel powder, ginger, garlic, shallots and green chillies into the blender. Blend it until it to make a thick paste. Remove this paste to a bowl. Then add lime juice and required amount of salt into it.

Then marinate the fish with this paste on the both sides. Keep it aside for 2 hours.

Add oil in a pan for deep frying, after the oil gets heat, add some curry leaves. Then add marinated fishes into the oil. Fry the fish for 10 minutes and then turn it around and fry the other side for 10 minutes. When both sides till golden brown.

Garnish it with onion and lemon slices. Serve it hot.
