India and Russia’s online Chess Olympiad declares joint-winners after the loss of internet connection on Sunday. It was for the first time international chess federation held online Olympiad game format.

Captain Vidit Gujrathi former world champion Viswanathan Anand, D Harika, Koneru Humpy, young prodigy R Praggnanandhaa, Nihal Sarin, Pentala Harikrishna and Divya Deshmukh represented India team while in play with the first Olympiad final against Russia.

If the internet connection was not lost the final against Russia of the Chess Olympiad would not be completed.
