Oil – 2 tablespoons,
Mustard seeds – 1teaspoon
Fenu greek seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
Mustard powder-1 teaspoon
Small onion paste -1 tablespoon
Chily powder – 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder -1 teaspoon
Kudam puli – 2 pieces,
Chopped ginger – 1 teaspoon
Green chilies – 2 nos slit
Salt – to taste.
Heat the oil and add both the seeds,when they spolutter,add the onion paste,green chilies,and ginger.Then add all the powders on a slow heat,stir till they are well sauted.Now add enough water,salt and a twig of curry leaves.When it begins to boil add the fish and the kudam puli.
Cover the pot and cook the fish on slow fire till it is cooked with a thick gravy.This can be served with rice.
