Flour                                                      – 1 ½ cup

Baking powder                                  – 1 heaped teaspoon

Sugar (powdered)                           – 1/2 cup

Nutmeg                                                               –  1 ¼ teaspoon

Salt                                                         – a pinch

Now the wet items

Egg                                                         – 1

Milk                                                       – 1/2 cup

Melted butter                                   -1/3 cup

For the topping

Sugar (powdered)                           – 1/4 cup

Cinnamon powder                          – 1/2 teaspoon

Melted butter                                   – 2 tablespoons


Combine the first set of dry items in a bowl and mix well.

Combine the next set of wet items and add to the dry ingredients. This is the muffin batter.

Prepare the oven to 180 degrees, and  greese the muffin cups. Fill each one with ¾ of the batter and bake for about 20 minutes till it is done.

When they are ready to serve dip each muffin top in the melted butter and arrange in a plate.

Combine the sugar and cinnamon powders together and sprinkle each muffin top .
