Basmati Rice – 2 cup
Beef – 1 Kg
Onion -3 Nos
Tomato -3 Nos
Lemon Juice – 2 Teaspoon
Ginger – 1 Teaspoon (paste)
Garlic -1 Teaspoon (Paste)
Cardamom – 5
Pepper powder – 3 teaspoon
Salt – as required
Tomato Puree – 1 cup
Garlic – 1 tablespoon (crushed)
Green Chilly – 2
Oil – as required
Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoon
Carrot – 2 tablespoon (grated)
Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon
Pepper Powder -1 teaspoon
Garam masala – 1 teaspoon (powder)
Cinnamon – 2 piece
Cloves – 5
Fennel seeds – 1 teaspoon
Cumin Seeds – 1 teaspoon
Kismis and Almonds – to garnish
Soak rice in water for 1 hour.
Add ½ teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon pepper powder, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon garlic paste and 1 teaspoon ginger paste into the beef cubes. Mix it well and keep it for marination.
And add this marinated beef into the pressure cooker. Cook until few whistles in pressure cooker.
Heat oil in a deep pan, add chopped onions and sauté it well. Until onion turns brown in colour, add garlic paste and chopped green chilly into the pan, sauté it for a few minutes.
Then add all spices into the pan. Saute it well for 2 minutes. Now add chopped tomatoes, sauté it for a few minutes until it mashed well.
Now add tomato puree, pepper powder, garam masala powder and grated carrots into it. Add cooked beef into the pan.
Add enough water (4 cup) and salt. Mix well and closed the pan with lid. Cook it in low flame. Now take out the beef pieces from the pan. Add drained basmati rice into the water. If the water level gets reduced, then add a little water before adding rice. Close the pan with lid tightly and cook it on medium flame.
Remove from heat after the water gets absorbed completely.
Heat a flat pan with oil, then put the beef pieces. Roast the beef pieces well. Put this beef pieces on the top of the cooked rice.
Add chopped coriander leaves and garnish it with kismis and almonds.
Serve it hot with vegetable salad.
