Kozhikode international airport in Kerala faced a tragic as an Air India Express aircraft part of Vande Bharat mission skidded off the runway at the Karipir airport.
Nineteen, including former Indian Air force test captain DV Sathe and co-pilot, dies in the hospital. They were injured and being treated at the MIMS hospital and Baby Memorial hospital in Kozhikode.
About 170 onboard passengers and cabin crews were rescued. Amidst the rain, CISF (central industrial security force and NDRF (National disaster relief force teams have managed to rescue at the best of the effort. A woman and child were rescued alive during the final search of the plane’s wreckage.

The Air India Express Ltd has also established a passenger information centre toll-free number for the kin of the passengers to find further details who may have been onboard fighting IX 1134 and 1800222271.
